EWGA SOUTH REGION CHAMPIONSHIP
Four Kent girls qualified for the matchplay stage after an excellent 36 holes.
Jerri Lawrence ( Rochester & Cobham) 76 70 Holly Standing (Ashford) 81 (net 69) 70 (net 58) Nicole Hamilton ( Dartford) 77 76 Jerrie Sewel (Pedham Place) 76 77 Unfortunately 3 had narrow losses in the first round of the knockout stage, Nicole & Jerri losing on the 18th & Jerrie on the 19th.Holly won her match on the 18th against a 1.6 handicapper to go through to the last 8 & although she was beaten Holly won the 36 hole net by 12 shots reducing her handicap to 9.4 Well Done Girls!
The Kent County Playing Field Association recently held their 53rd Annual Competition at Wrotham Heath Golf Club.Over £11,000 was raised for the Charity from over 80 of Kent's Golf Clubs.

Kent's Golf Clubs Raise Over £11,000 For Charity
In a field of 127 after 2 rounds of 18 holes 4 Kent girls qualified in the top 40 to play in the final 36 holes in the Under 18 Championship.
Sophie Daws of Littlestone. Nicole Hamilton of Dartford & Brittany Burton & Jessica Gregory of Sittingbourne qualified 17th, 22nd,27th & 40th respectively. There was also success in the Uner 15 Championship with Emily Royer of Chart Hills & Holly Standing of Faversham qualifying 23rd & 30th to qualify in the top 36 to compete in the final 36 holes on Thursday. Kent also had a finalist in the top 18 finishing 16th with Molly Lawrenece of Faversham competing in the final 18 holes of the Under 13 Championship. Results:- In the U18 Nicole Hamilton finished 28th, Jessica Gregory 30th, Sophie Daws 33rd & Brittany Burton 34th which was excellent considering the number of girls competing from all around the country. In the U15 Emily Royer finished 28th & Holly Standing 38th. Mollie Lawrence competing in the U13 finished a credible 15th in a field of 40 girls. Well Done to all the Kent girls taking part.
